This includes all those claims or cases wherein there is any defect/deformity/fault or poor quality in goods purchased by the consumer.
Loss/ Damage due to Unfair/Restrictive trade Practices
This shall include all those claims which arise due to the deceptive or unfair practices adopted by the seller to sale, use or supply of any goods or services. Cases of misleading prices, or the false description of goods/ services, goods failing to meet the requirement of safety/quality standards etc.
Medical services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency of medical services rendered by the medical professionals or due to the bad administration of the hospitals.
Banking/Financing/Insurance services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence of banking, financing, insurance agents or due to the bad administration of the banks or financial institutions.
Transport services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence of transport service providers or due to the bad administration of the transport agency.
Supply of electrical or other energy
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence in the supply of electricity or other energy by the providers or due to their bad administration.
Board or lodging services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence in the boarding/lodging services by the providers or due to their poor/low quality administration.
Housing construction services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence by the housing construction service providers or due to their bad administration.
Entertainment/amusement services
Claims that arose due to the deficiency/negligence by the entertainment/amusement providers or due to their poor/low quality administration.
Educational services
If the services provided by schools, colleges, tuitions, or any other educational institution. This will also include the coachings, guidance or other services taken for extra-curricular activities ex- swimming, dancing, music.
Other Services
Services which did not fall in the above categories shall be filed in this category.
Consumer’s Rights infringed
Those claims which arise due to the infringement of consumer’s right shall be availed under this head.It includes the right to be heard, right to safety, right to be informed, right to choose, right to redressal, or etc.
